Stoves & Installations, Installations
Providing a complete installation package means problems with any aspect of the
product or fit belong to ABoC and we deal with them. This eliminates any blame game
with materials or the installation of them, providing the customer
with peace of mind. Installations are carried out of trusted HETAS
Visit our showroom or
after reading the information on this page give us a call. Your details
will be recorded and an installer will phone to arrange a free no obligation site survey.
During that appointment all aspects of the installation tailored to your
requirement will be discussed and
either a price agreed or quote emailed.
The stove itself is about a third of the
installation cost and good saving can be made and problems minimised by using
the installers knowledge and contacts. The installers
experience will save you money and ensure your safety. Price considerations are:
The chamber, from a plastered over chimney breast
that needs to be opened up and made to your specification or a ready to go
The hearth, this must be signed off by the installer and
will be made to your requirement.
The chimney, flexible flue liner (type 316 or 904)
in an existing chimney or twin wall installation where there is no chimney.
The terminal, with pot and cowl on your roof, may
require scaffolding or cherry picker to access.
The register or closure plate sealing the chimney and any
harmful gases from the room.
The ventilation, all installations above 5kw must have
external ventilation installed..
The finishing touches, key stones, mantles, etc.
and the stove, manufacturer / model and sized to your room.
Rule of thumb, divide the volume in m3 by 14 = kw of stove.
Please note that stove installations are messy and time is
required to minimise, contain and clear up that mess.
A typical installation can cost from £1700 to £3000, far more
if a wet system to integrate into your central heating system.
